Upcoming concerts

Hi -

Here's some info on upcoming concerts that should be of interest to my listeners. Hope you can make it to some of these. I'm going to try and make as many of these as I can. Some great shows coming up.

Saturday, July 26, 2014, 5-7 pm: Ben Neill performs at Manitoga, Garrison, NY

Ben Neill is a local musician and composer who works with an instrument of his own devising called the mutantrumpet, which is a trumpet with multiple bells and fitted with electronic controls. He will be performing a new piece at Manitoga, an outdoor venue which is also the Russell Wright design center. I honestly don't know what this will sound like, but Ben is a great musician and Manitoga is a wonderful outdoor space. This is one of those events you need to see to believe. Altan is a wonderful Irish group that has been around for over 30 years. I've played their music on my show before. If you like Irish music, this is a must see. These shows are pretty far away, but these are a rare chance to see Liz Story in concert. She is a great person and incredible piano player. Lisa Downing is also a talented piano player. The Friday show will be in Old Saybrook, CT and will also feature a performance by Will Ackerman, guitarist and founder of Windham Hill Records. Well worth the drive. The Saturday performance is in Northampton, MA and just features Liz and Lisa. Here's a link to more info:
